For Dixstone Operations Gabon, we constructed a prefabricated workshop in Ntchengue, near Port-Gentil in Gabon — an area where quality and corrosion resistance are paramount.
Efficient transport and smooth installation
Dixstone Operations Gabon needed a building that could be easily shipped and assembled on site without delay. Thanks to the low weight and compact packaging of our steel components, transport was straightforward and fewer containers were required than for traditional constructions.
The components could be assembled immediately on site in Gabon. The combination of pre-punched holes, bolt connections, and easily manoeuvrable profiles meant that a small team could start work quickly, without the need for heavy machinery. Consequently, the workshop became operational in an exceptionally short amount of time.
Designed to resist coastal corrosion
Its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean means it is constantly exposed to salty air and high humidity. To ensure the building’s longevity, Dixstone Operations Gabon opted for our premium Super Protect 50-micron coating, which was specially developed for coastal areas.
Together with our cold-formed, galvanised profiles, it creates an extremely robust combination. Our Gabonese partner GMCIS carried out the assembly under the supervision of Frisomat technician Joao, ensuring that every step was carried out accurately and in accordance with the appropriate quality standards.
Engineered for lasting performance
Each steel component is produced through a precise process of profiling, punching and galvanising. Thanks to this approach, the parts are light and easy to transport, yet exceptionally sturdy and reliable. The lightweight structure reduces the load on the foundation, while the high-quality finish ensures decades of operational reliability, even in aggressive coastal environments.
